Guidelines to make your stay pleasant at the Ashram

  1. The Art of Living Ashram is dedicated to creating a more conscious and compassionate world. The aim is to create a safe and sacred environment to promote spirituality, ethical behaviour, and mutual respect and trust.
  2. The student, while in the ashram, is expected to respect the Ashram culture and enhance the spiritual atmosphere of the Ashram.
  3. Students should maintain an atmosphere of mutual respect, civil and congenial relationships. Any form of harassment and violence towards others has to be abstained from. This would mean that students use respectful language and conduct with each other. Bullying, negative gossiping, spreading of rumours may result in expulsion of the student from the program.
  4. Consumption of Tobacco, alcohol, Recreational drugs, Non vegetarian food (inclusive of eggs) is NOT allowed while staying in the ashram.
  5. Students should not make public display of affection. Public nudity is forbidden. Celibacy as part of the spiritual discipline is encouraged while staying in the Ashram. Modest dress (shoulders, midriff and legs covered) should be maintained at all times, including asana classes.
  6. Students should not leave the Art of Living ashram premises without permission of the Sri Sri School of Yoga administration.
  7. Lights are out at 11:00pm.
  8. Use of electronic gadgets like mobile phones / tablets etc. is not allowed during the course is going on and in the classroom.
  9. Use of heavy electrical items like iron, water cooker etc is not allowed in the rooms due to electricity overload problem. Cooking in the rooms is not permitted.
  10. Participation in all sessions is mandatory including Scheduled classes, Karma yoga and Satsang.
  11. Photography, video, audio recording is not allowed during the classes.
  12. Medium of Instruction:  English

Medical / Health Care

Basic health care is provided at the ashram clinic for emergencies. Expenses if any need to be borne by the applicant.

  1. Students are responsible for their own medical and health care. IF THEY HAVE ANY SPECIFIC AILMENTS IT SHOULD BE DECLARED IN THE REGISTRATION FORM.
  2. They should carry their own medicines, if necessary. Basic first aid facilities can be provided in case of emergency.
  3. Art of Living Ashram cannot be held liable for any accidents, injuries or thefts during the course.

Fees

All fees are paid by the participant before the course commencement. (Applicant can only upgrade accommodation, by paying the difference amount, subject to availability of specific type of accommodation upon arrival)

In case the course is rescheduled or cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, the liability of SSSY is limited to the refund of deposited fees only. 

Sri Sri School of Yoga reserves the right to use any pictures / videos taken during the course and activities for its records and promotional purposes. 

Even in possession of the student the copyright for the Study Material and content stays with Sri Sri School of Yoga and the student is forbidden to share / distribute it.

Certificate will be awarded after passing the exams with the required attendance hours.

Sri Sri School of Yoga is not responsible if the ashram environment or the course does not meet personal expectations of the student.

All disputes are subject to the INDIAN LAWS and will be decided only by the competent court in INDIA to the exclusion of any other court or way of settling legal or other disputes. The Jurisdiction for any civil issues is Bangalore

Refund Policy

Fees will not be Transferable nor Refundable.

Documents to be attached with application form.

  1. Medical certificate from an authorised medical practitioner on letterhead.
  2. For Indian Nationals: Any Govt. of India issued photo ID [Aadhar Card, Driving License, Voter ID Card, PAN Card]
  3. For Internationals: Copy of Passport and Valid Visa (3 Copies)
  4. Full-length photograph

LIABILITY BY THIS WAIVER, 

I assume any risk, and take full responsibility and waive any claims of personal injury, death or damage/ theft to personal property associated with YOGA activities and events organized. 
I understand and confirm that by signing this WAIVER AND RELEASE I have given up considerable future legal rights. I have signed this Agreement freely, voluntarily and under no duress. 

My signature below is proof of my intention to execute a complete and unconditional WAIVER AND RELEASE of all liability to the Full Disclosure.

“By submitting this application and typing my full name below I affirm the statements below:

  1. I affirm that the information provided on this application form is true and complete to the best of my knowledge. False, incomplete, or misleading information is grounds for rejection of this application, expulsion from the program, or revocation of certification even after completion of the program.
  2. I confirm that I am in appropriate mental and physical health to be able to follow the course and I am not pregnant or addicted to tobacco, alcohol or drugs.
  3. I confirm that I have read and agreed on the Rules & Regulations, Refund policy, Terms & Conditions and Liability waiver of Art of Living and I understand that non-observance of these rules can result in rejection of application or expulsion from the program at any time.
